    Nowadays there is a trend of energy saving and energy reducing for building services systems driving and operating. This article is focused on building exterior aerodynamics that is used to influence indoor environment. The indoor environment quality (IEQ) is influenced not only by building location, but also by the building position and layout. Other factors which can influence IEQ are g. e. climate conditions, summer and winter winds and breezes, landscape terrain and plants. Correct utilising of suchknowledge supports building ventilation and can reduce energy consumed by HVAC systems. In the end there are a few building project examples shown to represent the main ideas.
