Our study was focused on the behavior of lime-based mortars used for repairs of masonry elements. The full-scale testing was performed on masonry piers composed of five layers of bricks. The eccentric loading of piers was displacement-controlled in orderto obtain a combination of compression and bending. The displacement field was monitored using a high-definition camera. Consequently, the corresponding strain field was evaluated using Digital Image Correlation (DIC) software Ncorr. In order to obtainstress-displacement diagrams and to check the results provided by DIC, the displacements were measured in the pier corners using extensometers attached to its face.
