Optimized Design of Computer Experiments: A Review
Original language description
This contribution presents the current history of the Design of Experiments (DoE) for computer simulations, so-called Design of Computer Experiments. Especially the methods for designs' optimization with respect to some metrics will be the main topics ofthis work. The starting point is the description of several criteria that is commonly used to compare and optimize DoEs. An attention is placed on minimax metrics, which describes the largest unsampled space. Then the advances in the design of regular and constrained (mixture) DoEs is presented. Many methods are used within both research areas, however can differ in application details and obtained performances. Finally, the DoEs for adaptive and/or reliability purposes will be investigated employing also methodologies from previous parts.
