Mechanical properties of composite on aluminous cement base exposed to high temperatures
Original language description
The presented article summarizes the results of experimental programme focused on the study of the mechanical properties of cement composite for high temperature applications. Ordinary concrete based on Portland cement lose their mechanical properties and already the temperatures exceeding 200 °C cause structural and mineralogical changes in their structures. Due to the volume expansion caused by mineralogical changes at high temperatures over 570 °C explosive spalling occurs. Basalt fibres were used toensure the adequate ductility. The favourable properties of aluminous cement composite can be successfully used in production of the fire wall for subtle constructions. The mechanical properties of the composite such as tensile strength in bending and compressive strength were investigated on specimen of size 40x40x160 mm. There were performed reference series, one series was exposed to temperatures of 600 °C and the last one was exposed to temperatures over 1000 °C. The influence of ba
