Decision support system for planning of receiving waters protection from urban drainage impacts
Original language description
A decision support system (DSS) developed for storing, evaluation, visualization, and linking of data from the assessment of emissions from the urban drainage system and of environmental quality standards in streams during wet weather, and data from thebiological stream survey is presented. The proposed DSS provides classification of the rate of violation of emission criteria and of the receiving waters disturbance and thus identification of problematic sites of the urban drainage system during wet weather. The development and testing of the DSS was performed on a real pilot catchment. The DSS represents an enhancement to the water management information systems currently operating in the Czech Republic. After filling with data, it will serve as a decision-support tool for the stormwater management and planning of protective measures at different spatial scales.
