*The assessment of this group of experimental crumb rubber modified bituminous binders (CRmB) by usány a high-speed disintegrator for processing crumb rubber involved the application of finely pulverized, mechanically activated rubber of granularity 0.0-0.8 mm as determined. Attention was paid primarily to the assessment of the effect of the pulverized rubber quantities in the bituminous binder and the impact of the mixing time on the homogenization and functionality of the resulting CRmB binder. Organic polyphosphoric acid ? an additive which has been used in asphalt industry for over 30 years as an alternative type of modifier or a co-modifier, most often together with SBS polymer or crumb rubber (e.g. applications in Spain) ? was applied for the sake of comparing the effect. The modifier impacts the proportions of asphaltenes and maltenes in the binder and slows down bituminous binder degradation due to the socalled deflocculation process.
