Thermal insulating plasters and their hygric properties
Original language description
Plasters have always been an important component of a building structure, and as many other materials they were subject of quite a few modifications during their development. In view of the fact that thermal insulation properties of building structures belong to their basic characteristics, thermal insulating capabilities of plasters become an important factor in their design. In this paper, we present a new kind of thermal insulating lime plasters where silica sand is replaced by artificial light ceramic aggregates. The main emphasis is put on determination of hygric properties, which are measured for the purpose of a possible prediction of durability of plasters. However, also basic physical, mechanical and thermal properties of studied plasters are presented and the results are compared with a pure lime plaster.
