Pore Changes and Thermal Properties of Lime Plaster with Crushed Brick
Original language description
The plasters are important part of building surface layer. The aim of the study is to find out an appropriate application of secondary raw material in combination with traditional building material. Limes containing waste brick ash (originated from grinding of thermal insulating bricks) are studied in this article. For this purpose we tried to replace silica sand by the crushed brick in different quantities (5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% of weight). The influence of the finely brick replacement is determined through the measured properties of special mortars which were compared with a pure lime mortar. Specifically in this article experimental methods and results of basic physical properties, pore structure characterization and thermal properties arepresented. Plasters with brick ash show a change of pore structure and better thermal insulation.
