Influence of Natural Zeolite on Thermal Properties of Air-entraining Cement Composites
Original language description
This article is focused on a problematic of supplementary cementitous materials in a concrete production. Studied material is natural zeolite, which was used as a cement replacement for preparation of four types of air-entraining concretes. Amount of utilised zeolite is up to 30%. For the sake of comparison, a reference material with no zeolite was also prepared. Through the experimental measurements the influence of zeolite on the thermal properties of air-entraining concrete was evaluated. The replacement of cement by natural zeolite leads to a growth of open porosity; on that account thermal conductivity decreases. Specific heat capacity of studied concretes goes up with increasing amount of natural zeolite. Influence of this material on thermal expansion is not considerable, however higher amount of zeolite leads to a slightly increase of thermal deformation.
