Lateral and torsional stability of hybrid steel-glass beams
Original language description
Hybrid steel –glass beams can be used not only as a horizontal structural load-bearing elements for roofs or floors but also can be used as a vertical elements – supporting fins for glass facades which are loaded by wind compression or suction. Effect of lateral torsional buckling can’t be neglect in case of wind suction. This paper deals with experimental research performed at CTU aimed to the lateral and torsional stability of hybrid steel-glass beams with semi-rigid glued connection between the steel flanges and glass web.
