CREEP DEFORMATION AND FAILURE OF FIBRECONCRETE
Original language description
Aim of the work is to explain or help to understand phenomenon of „fibre reinforced concrete (FRC) creep failure“. The problematics of creep of pre-cracked FRC beam has been already observed and investigate in many laboratories. Beams of different spans (mostly around 700[mm], cross section around 100x100[mm]) are pre-cracked usually up to certain set deformation ( 0,2 – 5[mm]). Pre-cracked beams are then exposed to certain percentage ( 20 – 80[%]) of the original force which caused cracks. With higher percentages, beams with of several fibre types and mixtures started deforming faster and the test often ended up in a creep failure. Disturbing fact about this behaviour is, that for some initial condition, sudden failure might occur after weeks, months or even years. First stage of research will be covering only steel fibres.
