Formulation of a hygrothermal model for description of ice-forming process in porous building materials
Original language description
A hygrothermal model for description of water freezing and thawing processes in porous building materials is presented in the paper. The model is based on the effective specific heat capacity calculation making possible to include the latent heat of phase change. The model is implemented into the current computational tools and its demonstration is provided. Based on the model outputs, it can be concluded that the model is suitable for simulation of ice formation in porous building materials.
