Original language description
An extended hygrothermal model for description of water freezing and thawing processes in porous building materials is analyzed in this paper. First, the model outputs are compared against the original model without ice-forming feature from which the model was derived. Then, the sensitivity analysis of input thermal parameters is carried out. The result showed that introducing water/ice phase change in the heat balance equation leads to more precise description of freezing and thawing processes that may occur in porous building materials.
