Pravděpodobnostní posouzení interakce mostu a koleje

  • Original language description

Continuous welded rails (CWR) are currently preferred for bridges supporting tracks. The use of CWR affects concept and design of a bridge. Additional forces appear in the rail and in the bridge bearings due to track-bridge interaction. Even though the track-bridge interaction is implemented in Eurocode, the methodology of allowed stresses is used to check the additional stress in rails. This methodology sets maximal values for tensile and compressive axial stresses in the rail, however these values do not considerate the configuration of the track and the bridge. The methodology also does not considerate the probability of appearance of particular loads nor the probability of their combined action. This paper presents a process to determine the partial factor for thermal action on a rail at a bridge structure.
