Economical fitting for connecting two pressure pipes to one outlet pipe
Original language description
The solution relates to optimizing hydraulic losses that occur when water flows at the junction of two pressure pipes, and thus increase the efficiency of the pipe system. With the pipe fitting there is a symmetrical connection of two currents flowing to the connection point at a mutual angle α. The mixing intensity of the inflowing streams is reduced by the rectifier (3) of both streams, both streams first change their direction before being connected and then they are mixed. The two currents thus connect in a parallel direction. A favourable effect is also achieved by enlarging the profile of the outlet pipe (2) at the connection point of the inlet pipes (1). The pipe fitting, for connecting two pressure pipes into one adjoining pressure pipe, consists of two inlet pipes (1) with the same inner circular profile D1, which form an angle α with each other and an adjoining outlet pipe (2) of larger inner circular profile D2 than the inlet tubes (1) with which the angle β is formed. Inside the fitting there is a rectifier (3) of the inflowing liquid streams to reduce the hydraulic energy losses caused by the liquid confluence. ### The patent is exploited by its owner.
