When it is necessary to guarantee the ecology of materials and their life cycle, fire protection using wood and wood materials appears to be one of the most accessible materials. This article ovens the charring rate and development of the charred layer for wood and OSB cladding. Experiments were conducted in a small-scale furnace. The numerical model was subsequently validated. At the end of this article, the measured charring depth readings of the experiment are shown in comparison to the linear development.
