Original language description
The paper presents the problem of measuring noise emissions at the wheel-rail in-terface using the method developed in the HLUKOS (Dynamic Opto-Acoustic Method for Railway Superstructure Emission Noise Assessment) project. Based on the theory of railway vehicle noise, it presents the state of the art of the re-search project in terms of requirements for data acquisition equipment (micro-phones placed in the undercarriage of railway vehicles), evaluation of the cap-tured data and their subsequent application. It presents the results of the correla-tion between explanatory variables and the testing of mixed regression models. It also draws attention to the not entirely favourable results of the analysis of the measured data so far and the need to categorise the data according to operational and infrastructure criteria.
