    This study investigates the issue of sewage sludge pumping, with a focus on methods for recalculating the performance parameters of a specific hydrodynamic sludge pump from values relevant to clean water pumping to those applicable to sewage sludge pumping. The pump under assessment is the Flygt NT 3301 HT - 458, featuring a nominal power of 55 kW, a rated speed of 1475 rpm, and a specific speed of 34.4 rpm. Performance parameters were measured during the pumping of sewage sludge with a dry solids content of 5.2%. The experimentally obtained performance parameters and pump performance curves for sludge pumping were compared to predicted performance curves recalculated from clean water to 5.2% sewage sludge. Differences between the experimental and predicted values are analysed, and the suitability of the applied recalculation methods is assessed. The study concludes with recommendations for optimizing the performance parameters of hydrodynamic sludge pumps in wastewater treatment plants.
