    Optimisation of Pulse Jet Cleaning Device Geometry

    The contribution deals with the experimental research on the optimisation of the pulse-jet cleaning of industrial filters, namely optimisation of the outlet and mixing nozzle geometry. Optimisation is based on the evaluation of laboratory tests carried out on the experimental filter. For evaluation the point evaluation system was developed, based on the analysis of measured pulse pressure time signals in the filter bag during pulse-jet cleaning. As an optimum alternative the assembly with the mixing nozzle in form of the venturi nozzle with the throat diameter 48 mm and the distance between the outlet and mixing nozzle round 3 throat diameters was determined. The laboratory results were verified in practice when the retrofit of the real industrial pulse-jet filter was realised and the recommended form of the mixing nozzle was used. Field tests before and after retrofit produced evidence for real reduction of operational costs.
