    Determination of Absorbed Dose in the Experimental Animal Irradiated on the Leksell Gamma Knife

    The purpose of this study was to evaluate geometric and dosimetric inaccuracies during the irradiation of the experimental animal (rat) brain on the Lekssel gamma knife. Altogetrher three types of dosimeters were employed for this measurements: a) thermoluminescent dosimeter, b) semiconductor detector, c) polymer-gel dosimeter BANG-2 type. Special glass phantom mimicking exactly the shape of the rat body and filled by the polymer gel was used for measurements of relative dose distribution and evaluationof geometric inaccuracies in the rat brain.
