Verification of Stereotactic Radiosurgery Procedure with the Use of 3D Polymer Gel Dosimeter Evaluated by NMR

Original language description

A stereotactic treatment procedure performed with Leksell gamma knife was verified. There was prepared a special head phantom filled with "home made" polymer-gel dosimeter and consequently underwent comlex stereotactic treatment procedure - MR localization, treatment planning and irradiation. MR slices obtained after dosimeter irradiation were used for 3D dose distribution map construction. The corresponding MR slices originated from treatment planning systém and from evaluated dosimeter were taken together in order to compare (dis)agreement of planned and measured isodoses. There was observed a good agreement of 3D dose distribution planned and measured.
