Preliminary Results of Flow Measurements in an Elbow Pipe of Circular Section

Original language description

A few results of experiments on secondary flow in curved pipe of circular cross-section are presented. The experiments have been carried out using a 5-hole pressure probe. Comparison of the case of low-turbulent top-hat profile elbow inflow and fully developed turbulent channel inflow has been made. The secondary flow efect was found to be much stronger in the developed inflow case.
