Original language description
This paper describes the results of research into changes in machined surfaces in the milling process. It describes the influence of cutting speed on some parameters of plastic deformation. Simulation (FEM) and experiments show how cutting speed affectsthese parameters. The differences between the simulation and the experimental results are probably due to other influences than cutting speed. They occur in the experimental investigation (e.g., dullings of the tool tip and built-up edge formation) and also in the simulation model (e.g., inaccuracy of the simulation model, simplification and limitations of the simulation software).
