Departure Time Distribution in PH/PH/1 Queue
Original language description
It is well known, that a GI/G/1 queue can be replaced by some appropriate version of PH/PH/1 queueing system. The consideration of PH distribution enable us to compute much more characteristics of such models. One of them is the distribution of time between two departures. In the paper we prove that the distribution of this time is again of phase type and moreover we are able to determine its representation. Unfortunately, we cannot show independence between departure intervals. Therefore, the output cannot be viewed as a renewal process.
