    A Real Atmospheric Boundary Layer Flow over the Prague's Agglomeration

  • Original language description

    The paper deals with a mathematical and numerical investigation of a 3D-flow in the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) over a complex Prague's agglomeration. The concept of a wall function is evaluated and the results are compared with a no-slip wall modelling. Two mathematical approaches are briefly mentioned: 1) the full RANS equations considered in the conservative form and 2) the Boussinesq approximation of RANS equations written in the non-conservative form. Both models are designed for an incompressible flow. A simple algebraic turbulence closure is performed and stationary boundary conditions are assumed.
