    On the Mathematical and Numerical Investigation of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer Flow with Pollution Dispersion

    The paper presents a mathematical and numerical investigation of the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) flow over complex terrain. Two mathematical models described in details are based upon: 1) the full RANS equations written in the conservative form and2) the Boussinesq approximation of RANS equations recasted in the non-conservative form. Both models have been applied to two different real case atmospheric problems.

    Článek prezentuje matematickou a numerickou studii proudění v mezní vrstvě atmosféry nad komplexním terénem. Jsou zde popsány detailně dva matematické modely založené na: 1) plném RANS systému rovnic v konzervativním tvaru a 2) tzv. Boussinesqově aproximaci RANS rovnic v nekonzervativním tvaru. Oba modely jsou aplikovány na dva různé reálné případy atmosférického proudění.
