Residual stresses are induced in the material of structures in almost all manufacturing processes. Presence of residual stresses in construction is undesirable and plenty of finance is spent to remove or reduce it. Pipe bends are produced from rolled weldless pipe by hot forming under temperature between 920 - 980 °C and cooled from this temperature by means of air. Temper annealing is requared by SN standard 42 0284 in this case, because both ends of pipe were not warm. This operation is very expensiveand also has substantially increased production time and following production cost rise. New SN standard 130021-6-1 alows omit annealing operation in the case of the low level residual stresses in construction. Therefore residaul stresses were measuredin pipe bend. Hole drilling method was used for determination of residual stresses. Residual stresses were measured in 14 places on the surface of the pipe bend and in one place on comparing pipe.
