Influence of the Inlet Flow Structure on the Energy Loss within Curved Channel
Original language description
For the aerodynamic model of the curved channel represented by a cylindrical 90 degrees segmented elbow of 300 mm diameter and two straight pipes detailed measurements of the three-dimensional flow fields within the channel were made. The measurements were performed on the low turbulence wind tunnel using CTA anemometry system with one wire probe combined with pressure 5-hole probe. For every from three measuring planes inside the channel the mean velocity vector and total and static pressure were measured with sampling frequency 10 Hz lasting 5 seconds for every of 2160 measuring points. First results for two different inflow velocity profiles and its turbulence intensity are presented.
