Original language description
The paper is aimed at presenting information on wet steam diagnostics carried out at the exit of 210 MW fossil and 1000 MW nuclear (PWR) LP steam turbines. The diagnostics consisted in prediction of the droplet size spectra, electrostatic charge of fineand coarse droplets and of concentration of chemical impurities in the steam. Computational simulation and analysis of the nucleation process in the multistage LP turbines is performed using unary and binary homogeneous and hetero-homogeneous models. Nucleation on the negatively charged ions has also been considered. Statistical Lagrangian approach accounting for 2D effects is used as the computational method.
