Evaporating Liquid Sprays Modeling
Original language description
Recent research into modeling the fuel spray evolution in combustion chamber of compression-ignition engines is reviewed. A fully Eulerian code has been developed with the primary aim of analysing the two-phase flows constituted by the liquid sprays issued into gaseous environment. The governing equations for unsteady compressible multi-component gaseous flow and droplet-phase flow are derived in terms of FV method. Finite volumes with arbitrary movable boundaries are used to facilitate the computationsof movable boundary problems. The model features twoway coupling in mass, momentum, and energy equations between the both phases.
