    The paper discusses the possibility of using Particle Image Velocimetry technique in high-speed flow measurement. The PIV results are compared with pictures taken by Schlieren device. Next, the movement of shock-waves is measured by combination of PIV and Schlieren method. The measurements are performed on a turbine blade cascade.
