Original language description

Abrasive wear is very intensive degradation process of machine parts in mining, transport and coal power stations. Wear resistance is influence by working conditions and parameters of worn-out material as hardness and microstructure. Present knowledge ofmaterial parameters and their influence on wear by particles doed not allow to predict life-time of machine parts. Therefore , it is necessary to test selected materials experimentally. Laboratory tests of different surface layers and coatings enable their optimum selection.
