    Some Surface Improvement and Osseointegration

    As a further perspective material to be used in orthopedics, glass fibers (R-glass, 21055 satin-woven fabric, VETROTEX, Saint Gobain, France) and polysiloxane matrix (M130, Lučební závody Kolín, Czech Republic) based composite materials have been investigated. On the composite surface, open pores were produced. For further improvement of osseointegration, a powder hydroxyapatite (HAp) was added to the matrix of the surface-treated specimens. In this paper the effects of surface treatment and hydroxyapatite matrix additives on osseointegration studied by in vivo method (Pull-off test) is mentioned.

    Byl studován kompozitní materiál, na bázi skelných vláken (R-glass, 21055 satin-woven fabric, VETROTEX, Saint Gobain, Francie) a polysiloxanové matrice (M130, Lučební závody Kolín, ČR), perspektivně využitelný v ortopedii. Do povrchu kompozitu byly vytvořeny otevřené póry o třech různých velikostech. Pro další zlepšení oseointegračních vlastností byl do matrice přidán práškový hydroxyapatit (HAp). V tomto příspěvku je popsán efekt povrchových úprav a obohacení matrice na oseointegraci, který byl studován in vivo (Pull-off test).
