    Porous Composites Based on Siloxane Resin for Hard Tissue Replacements

    A composite material based on polysiloxane and first on glass fabrics was prepared. The composite samples were prepared with controlled open porosity, the sizes of which were in the range: i) 200-400 &micro;m, ii) 400-600 &micro;m, and iii) >600 &micro;m. For further improvement of osseointegration, a powder hydroxyapatite (HAp), particle size of 5 &micro;m, was added to the matrix of the surface-treated specimens, in the amount of 10 wgt. %. The effects of surface treatment and hydroxyapatite matrix additives on osseointegration were studied by methods in vitro and in vivo.

    Byl připraven kompozitní materiál na bázi siloxanové pryskyřice a, nejprve, na bázi skelných vláken. Kompozitní vzorky byly připraveny s kontrolovanou otevřenou porozitou, přičemž velikosti pórů se pohybovaly v rozmezí 0,2-0,4, 0,4-0,6 a vyšší než 0,6 mm. Pro další zvýšení osseointegrace byl do těchto vzorků přidán práškový hydroxyapatit (granule 0,005 mm) v množství 10 hm%. Efekt těchto úprav byl studován metodami in vitro a in vivo.
