    Mixing of suspensions is very frequent operation in many industries. It&#8217;s very important for design of mixing equipment to determine enough exactly impeller speed for just off-bottom suspension. Providing frequency of impeller is lower then critical speed for just off-bottom suspension, maximum interphase surface is not reached and the time of mixing process increases. Operating costs are therefore higher. On the contrary high overrun of critical frequency has no more influence on intensificationof transfer effects but it disproportionately increases the costs of drive unit of the mixing station. Just suspended impeller speed is influenced by many geometrical parameters of used mixing equipment. Type of vessel bottom belongs among these parameters.
