High - Order Methods for Modelling Viscous Incompressible Flow

  • Original language description

The article deals with the numerical solution of Navier-Stokes equations for steady, laminar, viscous, incompressible flow in 2D. The numerical solution is obtained by using of numerical schemes based on a compact aproximation designed by A. Lerat, thatis explicit as compared to the commonly used methods. The used scheme is of the third order. The solution is based on the artificial compressibility method. The validation cases are flow over a flat plate and a cavity flow. Numerical analysis of accuracyhas been done on a scalar equation.
