High - Order Methods for Modelling Unsteady Viscous Incompressible Flow

  • Original language description

The article deals with numerical solution of Navier-Stokes equations for unsteady laminar viscous incompressible flow in 2D. The third order scheme designed by A. Lerat is based on compact approximation. The scheme is explicit as compared to the commonlyused methods. The solution is obtained by using of the artificial compressibility method in conjuction with dual time stepping. Some numerical results of flow around a square cylinder for wide range of Reynolds number are presented.
