Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Carbon Layers

Original language description

The carbon coatings deposited by Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) technology (Carbon Nitride) and filtered Pulsed Arc Discharge Deposition System (FPADDS) - (DLC/ta-C) coatings were investigated. The basic methods of thin coatings properties determination including determination of their mechanical and tribological properties were performed. The coatings were deposited on CoCrMo alloy-substrate commonly used for bioimplants. The friction and wear of coatings at fretting contact were investigated.
