Evaluation of Frequency Responses from Simultaneous Multiple Harmonic Excitation in a Closed Control Loop
Original language description
In the new model-free PID controller tuning method recently presented evaluation of frequency open-loop indicators is needed. In this paper, a method, which is based on a closed-loop excitation by a harmonic signal, is introduced. The real responses contain noise, so application of simple methods, e.g. based on peak detection, is not suitable. Because the new autotuning method uses its own harmonic excitation generator, it is possible to utilize the generator also as a signal source for pattern recognition. The pattern recognition can be used to obtain the isolated responses on each harmonic excitation. This allows evaluating simultaneously multiple frequency responses and then a simultaneous tuning of more controllers in case of a MIMO control. The use of the pattern recognition evaluation has the advantage that we avoid implementing any type of filters.
