The study of manufacturing processes forms a core subject area for a majority of mechanical engineering students. This textbook is intended for students of the first year of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and to all who are interested in manufacturing technology. It contains basic concept of three manufacturing technologies such as casting, forming and welding, including basic terms, methods and materials. The concept of the book is based on the main text divided into four chapters. Terms and vocabulary occurring in the text are explained in the "Terms" on the end of any chapter.
