The study of manufacturing processes forms a core subject area for all mechanical engineering students. This textbook is intended for students of the first year of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and to all who are interested in manufacturing technology. It contains basic concept of manufacturing technologies such as casting, forming and welding and in second revised version also additive technologies. Basic terms, methods and materials are mentioned in all chapters. Terms and vocabulary occurring in the text are explained in the "Terms" on the end of any chapter.
