Approximate solution to partial differential
Original language description
Methods of weighted residuals are presented as an effective way for solving partial differential equations. The Galerkin modification is chosen and applied to the solution of the acoustic wave equation. The Galerkin weighted residuals method is comparedto the finite element method in a given range of acoustic excitation frequencies. From the results it is obvious, that the weighted residuals method produces as precise results as the finite element method.
