This paper shows a comparison of two basic methods for preparing micro EDM electrodes. It shows the advantages and disadvantages of the solid block and the wire electrodes. In its final part parameters of the EDM process during preparing a flat electrodeusing a wire cutter are discussed. Results for the EDM process speed with different parametrs are shown.
