We have built a testing cooling prototype apparatus for the LHCB SciFi particle detector endcap mockups. This detector is currently under development and it is foreseen to be used in the LHC accelerator in CERN. The silicon photomultipliers in the endcapmodules needs to be cooled and for that purpose a different designs of air heat exchangers were tested. The AIRCOOLER_II, which was developed at the CTU Department of Applied Physics, was the core of the test setup. The AIRCOOLER_II is an arrangement ofvortex tubes producing a stream of air as cold as -50°C. The input compressed air was passing through a Donaldson Ultrapac 2000 type 0050 dryer and its flow was measured using the Azbil 0-500l/min flow meter. The produced cold air flow was measured by the Red-Y Smart flow meter. AIRCOOLER itself was equipped with three SensorTechnics pressure sensors and with seven temperature sensors.
