The paper deals with the analysis of typical compliant mechanisms for the investigation of their kinematic descriptions. The examples of such compliant mechanisms are inflated and deflated robots, the precise micropositioning mechanisms. Their unifying feature is the flexible joint. The paper describes the FEM models of such mechanisms and their reduction and parametrisation.
