The Abrasive Wear of Materials for Functional Parts of Water Turbines
Original language description
The paper deals with the influence of abrasion which significantly contributes to the damage of material for the functional water machines parts besides the corrosion and cavitation. The striking edges of impeller and diffusion ring wheel blades belong to the areas which are the most stressed by the abrasive wear. That is the reason for a research of new materials that would allow prolonging the lifetime of blades and safety of the entire turbine besides traditional corrosion resistant steel 1.4313. Atpresent, ductile cast iron is one of the materials suitable for the manufacture of blades for some types of hydraulic turbines. According to the mentioned aspect, these materials along with heat treated ductile cast iron ADI (Austempered Ductile Iron) were compared. Microstructural analysis was performed. Material properties (yield strength Re / Rp0,2, tensile strength Rm , elongation A, hardness HBW and impact energy KV / KU) were measured. The abrasive wear was also simulated by help o
