FPGA-Based V/F Control Of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Original language description
This paper deals with a developing of basic program interface for controlling a permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM). As development software a graphical programming environment Labview was used, and hardware solution was realized with embedded controller NI PXIe-8108, together with added NI PXI-7854R card featuring Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The FPGA allows a real time control, while the computer has a function of the host and contains a graphical interface for controlling the motor.FPGA?s digital outputs are connected to the inverter, which also features current sensors for the 3-phase machine and which outputs are connected to the analog input of FPGA. As a motor, the first prototype of PMSM made at the author department is used.In developed environment it is possible to control a motor in manual V/f mode.
