    Functional Coating Systems Based on Epoxy Resins

    Functional coating systems combine decorative or protective properties with another additional quality that improves their basic functions that are connected to former use of these coating systems. One possibility of creating such systems is the use of suitable micro- and nanoparticles as fillers in the matrix of epoxy resins. It is essential to choose the best filler and its most suitable amount to meet the requirements for application and functional properties of a coating system. The article deals with the improvement of wear-resistance and conductivity of coating systems based on epoxy resins in the framework of the project that has been run at Department of Manufacturing Technology, Czech Technical University in Prague.
