POD decomposition of CFD data of flow controlled flow over hump
Original language description
Separation controlled flow over hump is modeled by using Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation variant of SST k-? model. The flow control is done using set of actuators with modulation frequency 60 Hz and with carrying frequency 370 Hz. Results of the numerical computation using Ansys Fluent code are analyzed using modal decomposition. Vortex structures behind the hump are also visualized using Eulerian local identification criteria. Modal decomposition of obtained CFD simulation data was done using proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) where the structure of energetically most important modes was identified. The response to flow control is searched in the amplitude characteristics of energetically dominant modes obtained using POD. The modulation frequencyused in flow control is not directly evident from the analyzed results.
