The preliminary knowledge about route shape, traffic density and other route properties is the necessary for successful planned energy saving ride behavior. The input data from GPS navigation contain only restricted set of knowledge about the route properties, don’t respect the random and recurring events, which is the different for different vehicle construction. These events are not contained in GPS navigation data, but the knowledge about it can be obtained only from repeated measuring and use the historical data. The paper presents the first ideas for measuring, saving and using historical data, measured by the vehicle onboard computer unit.
